The White House's customs crackdown is on hold. A US federal appeals court ruled Friday that a large portion of Donald Trump's tariffs were illegal . This is a major setback for a pillar of his policy that is shaking the global economy.

The American president announced that he would refer the matter to the Supreme Court for final decision on the dispute. This decision was later confirmed by his Attorney General, Pam Bondi , on X.
